Tularosa Basin - Coe Ranch Historical Brochure
Pushing the envelope of a creative process on steroids
Pushing the envelope of a creative process on steroids
This brochure was one of the most challenging pieces that I've created because the budget was very slim and the time to complete it was short. To streamline the process, I implemented a plug-in called Adobe InCopy and had my editors check in/check out certain parts of the brochure while I was producing it. By doing this, I created simultaneous productivity for both the designer and editors.
I had a total of 3 editors in various locations while creating this brochure. One was stuck at the airport, one was in her office at work, and the other was working from home. No matter where they were at, they were able to log into the server and edit the brochure. There was hardly any back and forth between designer and editors which made the editing process much faster and accurate.
On a design perspective, I had the luxury of using many different textures that resembled a weathered antique look. Rusty colors, torn paper effect, and a milk wash effect really gave this piece a strong visual effect.
